The National Bank of Ethiopia put out a notice for a 70 million US dollar foreign exchange auction to be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
This latest auction is part of the Central Bank’s bi-weekly FX auctions aimed at stabilizing the foreign exchange price and market.
The bank invited all interested banks to submit their bids for the 15th foreign exchange auction in line with the guidance specified below.

- Total foreign exchange amount: $70 million
- Bid Submission Period: 10:00 AM to 12:00 NOON
- Bid result announcement: 3:00 PM
- Settlement will be at the end of the day on January 20, 2026.
