The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority has officially granted an Investment Bank license to D and T Ethiopia Management Consulting PLC following a comprehensive evaluation of its application credentials.
Announced in Addis Ababa on August 28, 2026, this regulatory upgrade enables the firm to transition from its previous operational capacity as a Securities Investment Advisor into a broader corporate finance role.
Under the terms of the upgraded certification, D and T Ethiopia is now legally authorized to deliver non-brokerage investment banking services, including the facilitation of corporate mergers and comprehensive organizational restructuring.
This strategic expansion brings the cumulative number of licensed investment banks operating within the country to nine, signaling a steady maturation of the national financial sector.
