ESX Greenlights Four Companies for Main Market Listing
The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) has granted “Approval in Principle” to four companies to join its Main Market, marking a major milestone for the nation’s emerging capital market.
The following companies are moving forward with their listing plans:
- Ayat S.C.
- Sidama Bank
- Nib Insurance S.C.
- ZamZam Bank
While Ayat S.C., Sidama Bank, and Nib Insurance must still finalize securities registration with the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) and publish their prospectuses, ZamZam Bank has already completed these requirements. This progress confirms the growing institutional appetite for raising long-term capital through regulated public offerings.
The ESX continues to work with these issuers to ensure a transparent transition to public trading. As the pipeline of companies grows, the exchange is urging prospective investors to consult with licensed market intermediaries to evaluate the increasing range of investment opportunities within Ethiopia’s maturing financial ecosystem.
